From our workshop

Workstation-class and still powerful. Because of the T2 chip, a board failure puts data at risk, so regular backups matter.

What faults do you fix on the iMac Pro 27-inch (2017)?

  • Data recovery from T2-encrypted storage
  • Logic board and T2 faults
  • Graphics faults
  • Fan noise and heat

Repairs and upgrades for this model

  • Screen and display repairs (the screen is bonded on, so it needs care to open)
  • Power supply and start-up faults
  • Memory (RAM) upgrades
  • Liquid damage treatment and logic board repair
  • Virus, malware and slow-Mac clean-ups, macOS reinstallation
  • Data recovery and transfer to a new Mac

Can you recover data from my iMac Pro 27-inch (2017)?

With the T2 chip, the SSD’s encryption key never leaves the logic board. That means data recovery on this model is really a board repair job – something our engineers do at component level.

Is it worth repairing my iMac Pro 27-inch (2017)?

It runs up to macOS 15 Sequoia. Plenty of these are still in daily use, and a new battery or keyboard often keeps one going for years – but we won’t recommend an expensive repair that isn’t worth it.
