Can you recover data from my Mac mini (2018)?
The SSD is soldered to the board and encrypted by Apple’s T2 security chip, so the data is tied to that exact logic board. If the Mac is dead, the way to get your files back is to repair the board and boot it.
Is it worth repairing my Mac mini (2018)?
Apple’s support for it ends at macOS 15 Sequoia. Smaller repairs are good value; for a major board fault we will explain whether repairing or replacing makes more sense for you.
